Abexome Biosciences, a biotechnology company, specializing in the production of recombinant proteins, antibodies and immunoassays was set up in 2007 with the aim of providing core biology solutions in life sciences R&D. We aim to offer cost-effective and quality services and products to the research community in academia and industry.

Abexome was founded by a team of scientists who have been involved in setting up biotechnology businesses earlier. We have a young and enthusiastic team of scientists, both at PhD and masters level, with expertise in immunology and molecular biology.

We are currently engaged with some of the leading Pharmaceutical and Biotechnolgy Organizations and reputed Academic Labs in India. We also do contract product development (antibodies and assay kits) on behalf of Global Life Science Solution providers. One of our antibody clones was recently in-licensed by a global life science solutions company.

Nadathur Holdings and Investments, founded by Mr N S Raghavan, Founder and former Joint Managing Director of Infosys Technologies, are the lead investors of Abexome. This is part of a larger consortium of Nadathur companies in Healthcare and Life Sciences.

Abexome has a 10,000+ sq ft facility, located in Bangalore, fully equipped with cell culture and molecular biology laboratories, and an in-house animal facility holding small animals (mice, rabbbits and guinea pigs), and large animals (goats). The facility is approved by the regulatory authorities in India for Biosafety, Environmental Safety and Animal Ethics.
